Synopsis/Summary: “El Brindis,” a 2007 film by Chilean filmmaker Shai Agosin, tells the story of Emilia, a Mexican woman who travels to Chile to meet her estranged father who is preparing for his late bar mitzvah. Things get complicated when Emilia starts a forbidden romance with the local rabbi.
